Shotcrete Operator – Mogalakwena Mine, Limpopo Full Time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate/ equivalent

Spraymech License or relevant competency

Competent B

Valid Driver’s license

Medically fit to work underground

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

At least 3 years of experience in operating shotcrete equipment in Mining, tunneling, or civil construction environment.

Experience with wet and/or dry shotcrete processes, including the use of robotic or manual spray equipment.

Familiarity with concrete batching and mix designs for shotcrete applications.

Experience working in confined spaces and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Strong understanding of shotcrete application techniques and best practices.

Knowledge of concrete material properties and curing processes.

Ability to operate and maintain shotcrete spraying equipment, pumps, and related tools.

Ability to identify and resolve issues during shotcrete operations, such as equipment malfunctions mix inconsistencies.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate Shotcrete equipment to spray concrete onto surface in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.

Prepare work area, including setting up hoses, pumps, and nozzles, and ensuring proper alignment and positioning.

Perform pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and cleaning of shotcrete equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with quality control personnel to test and adjust mix designs as needed.

Record daily production data, including shotcrete volume, quality metrics, and equipment usage.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Communicate with site supervisors, batching plant operators, and other team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.
