Matric certificate/ equivalent Longhole Stope Rig Certificate Dover results A valid driver’s license Medically fit for the position and environment |

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS |
|
3 years’ experience as a Longhole stoping Rig Operator on Sandvik long hole drills Established personal safety delivery record. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to cope with ambiguity with high personal resilience and change adaptability. Sound spoken and written English communication skills |

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
Preparing the rigs for drilling and ensuring safety by following operational procedures. Charging up holes, down holes and development drives, using explosives, and initiating systems. Maintaining the rig and ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order. Operating heavy drilling equipment in longhole drills and jumbo drills. Ensuring accurate hole placement and continuous equipment inspection. Ability to use various explosives and initiating systems safely |
