IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
ADMINISTRATION CLERK REF: IVP-PL-2615
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12
· Certificate in office administration (advantageous)
· Advanced computer skills
· Knowledge of Data Management
· Good communication and planning skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· 3 years’ experience as Administration Clerk in Mining environment
· General office support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Communicate with customers, employees, and others to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints
· Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office/other activities and business transactions.
· Compute, record, and proof-read data and other information
· Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database on to a computer
· Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
· Complete work schedules, manage calendars and arrange appointments.
· Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms and expense reports.
· Type, format, proofread and edit correspondence and other documents
· Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and record and transcribe minutes.
· Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as computer hardware and software
· Make travel arrangements for office personnel.
· Performing day-to-day administration
· Compile, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
· Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
· Analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
· Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
