IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
ARTISAN ASSISTANT FITTER X3 REF: (IVP-ENG- 2609)
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12/ NQF Level
· Relevant Native Engineering studies will be advantageous
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· 2 years Mine experience as Assistant especially in the TMM environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Assist artisan and/or assigned supervisor(s) for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
· Installs system component parts for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment
· Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
· Prepares written materials i.e.: -repair status, activity logs, for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
· Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
· To assist artisan in effectiveness of maintenance through effective housekeeping.
