| Key Responsibilities: |

- Operations • Assist with maintenance, installation, and construction of workplace facilities to standards and specifications. • Report all maintenance, installations, and constructions for inspection. • Safe, correct, and effective application of equipment and machinery utilised during duties. • Adhere to maintenance schedules. • Attend to breakdowns. • Escalate unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful maintenance, installation, and constructions. • Liaise with artisan or foreman for spares and equipment. • Liaise with machinery operators to establish working capability of machinery. • Performs end of shift procedures according to standards and procedures e.g. cleans tools and working area, stores tools and locks up.
- Administration & Reporting • Completion of relevant documentation. • Report completed jobs to the relevant stakeholders. • Ensure that any maintenance and construction problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility. • Report all inconsistencies and obstacles. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Relations • Ensure effective two-way communications with team members. • Support and promote a positive work environment.
- Financial Management Cost Savings: • Adhering to cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
- Building a values-based organisational culture • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
- ESG Compliance • Align to international responsible mining principles. • SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs). • SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative.
- SHE Compliance • Adhere to all legal and safety requirements, including FRPs. • Conduct all work according to required standards, specifications and training. • Attend SHE meetings as and when required. • Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn and/or used. • Ensure that all jobs are done to the required standard. • Inspection of working environments. • Recognize hazards impacting on all jobs and participate in on the job risk assessment. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
