VACANCY

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

CONCRETE HAND X4 REF: TK-IVP-2610

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12

·       Drivers licence

·       Able to provide excellent service

·       Ability to read, write, and follow basic verbal or written instructions.

·       Excellent organizational skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       1-2 years related experience in a similar role.

·       Experience preferably in mining industry

 The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to figure out the correct dimensions and layout for concrete structures.

·       Cut and assemble timber, plywood, or metal panels to create molds for columns, beams, slabs, walls, and staircases.

·       Set up, align, and secure the molds and scaffolding at exact locations before concrete is poured.

·       Help place, spread, and monitor the curing of concrete while ensuring the framework holds its shape safely.

·       Carefully take apart and clean the formwork once the concrete has fully hardened.

·       Follow strict health and safety rules, use safety gear, and keep the work area clean
